There are many kinds of tea available in the market. Each of them have their own benefits, so here we are going to break down the types of teas. All of these teas are good for health. Let’s list them one by one. 

Black Tea 

Black tea is a more oxidized version than oolong, green and white tea. It has a stronger flavor than other teas. All these mentioned teas are made of shrub leaves i.e. Camellia sinensis. The two main varieties of species are used small leaves chinese variety sinensis var. Sinensis which is used for most other types of teas. The other is large leaves assamese plant which is traditionally used in black tea. 

Through later it was used to make green and white teas too. China discovered the black tea, and was called red tea due to the color of oxidised leaves when processed appropriately.

Russian tea is heated in a metal container called samovar. When water starts boiling, some water is taken into the teacup. Water in teacup is mixed with large quantities of tea and brewed to make it concentrate. 

When the tea has to be drinked. Then mix the tea with hot water from samovar. Ratio of zavarka concentrate to water will vary the tea from stronger to weaker. 

Bubble Tea

Bubble tea is known by many names like pearl milk tea, bubble milk tea or boba. It is a taiwan based drink which contains flavors of milk and sugar. Toppings like chewy tapioca balls, popping boba, fruit jelly, grass jelly, agar jelly, aloe vera jelly, sago and puddings are often added. 

Ice blended versions are frozen and blended. Other varieties of drink have some other flavors. The most popular varieties of Bubble tea are black pearl milk tea and green pearl milk tea.

Bubble tea is of two types i.e. with Milk and without Tea. These varieties are made by black, green or oolong tea. 

Pantyhose Tea

Pantyhose tea or Hong Kong style milk tea is made up of blck tea and milk. The milk is usually evaporated or condensed. It is used as a lunch in Hong Kong tea culture.  

It originated from Hong Kong and is seen in overseas restaurants serving cuisine. It is also ranked as Top 100 benerages in the world, this ranked 4th in Kong cuisines. 

Hong Kong consumes more than 900 million cups in a year. It is also listed on the representative list of the Intangible Culture Heritage of Hong Kong in 2017 by Intangible Culture Heritage Office which under the Leisure and Culture Department

It is made with several kinds of black tea , ceylon tea, pu’er tea, evaporated milk, and sugar. The proportion of tea is treated as a commercial secret by many vendors. Few variations are also using condensed milk instead of milk and sugar to make it feel richer.  

Matcha Tea

Matcha tea is a kind of green tea by adding young tea leaves and grinding them to a bright green powder. Powder is then whisked with hot water. This process is different from green tea, where the leaves are fused in water then removed. 

Drinking brewed tea is like boiling spinach, but throwing spinach and drinking the water. Matcha leaves are grown on green tea bushes kept in shade. Shade increases the amount of chlorophyll content in the leaves. And makes them bright green and full of nutrition. 

These leaves are picked by hand and the stems and veins are removed. 

Matcha or any other green teas have a class of antioxidants called catechins. It is also rich in EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate) which is helpful in fighting cancer in the body. Green tea has so many benefits on the human body. It helps in various diseases like heart disease, type 2 diabetes and cancer, and even encouraging weight loss. 

Noon Chai

Noon chai is also known as shir chai, gulabi chai or kashmiri Tea or pink tea sometimes. It is a traditional tea which was started in indian subcontinent i.e. Kashmir Valley. It is made of gunpowder tea, milk and baking soda.  

A pinch of baking soda is also added. Sugar is an optional way while there is no sugar in the traditional tea. Modern variation of Noon Chai is adding sweetener in the tea. It is now sold in Indian and pakistani restaurants.  

Pulled Tea

Pulled tea or teh tarik is a common tea beverage which is found in various restaurants, stalls and kopitiams in the southeast asian countries of Malaysia and Singapore. 

The name is derived from the poring process of this drink during the preparation. It is made up of a strong brew of black tea blended with condensed milk. It is known as the national drink of malaysia. 

The mixture is poured back and forth multiple times between two cups from a height to give it a thick froth on the top. This process cools the tea to optimal drinking temperature. It ixes the tea with condensed milk and improves its flavor. It is also compared to the decanting of toddy to enhance the flavor. 

Pulled Tea is common in local regions of India. The strong aroma because of common ceylon. The tea is made with little cream or fresh milk like any other milk based tea. Actually condensed milk is used to balance the taste created by creamy and sweet flavour.
